Did You Know?
Did you know that the PassagePoint control center is an advanced security feature that will allow an administrator to tailor the visibility of data? Furthermore, custom settings can be placed into locations within the tree that affect the visibility of data and the access to secure data.
For example, a receptionist of one campus may only be allowed to view data for their local campus, while another receptionist in a remote campus may be allowed to view data for all locations.

PassagePoint Global supports adding multiple drivers' licenses to a visitor record
1> From Rapid reg or Pre reg, Click the ID /License icon from the capture panel.
2> Using a scanner device, like ScanShell, scan the visitor's ID / License and
click save.
3> Click the ID /License icon from the capture panel again, scan the visitor's other ID /License and click save.
4> You can see the visitor's ID /License count in the system by clicking on the ID /License icon and looking at the small box on the ID /License sScan dialog box. It will show 1 of 2. This means you are viewing id one from two available id's in the system for this visitor.

Is it possible to manage visitors without a desktop computer and ID scanner?
YES, with PassagePoint Global or EDU visitor management software, the MC70 Symbol mobile and a Zebra wireless printer, utilizing Bluetooth technology.
Security officers patrolling campuses, guards at contractor entry gates, and those manning parking or dock entrances are ideal candidates for this use.
This PassagePoint Mobile Solution allows visitors to be processed and badges printed wirelessly (depending on the wireless network specifications). The Symbol unit runs Windows Mobile OS, with a unique PassagePoint visitor management interface that enables searches of pre-registered visitors, pre-authorized contacts, active visitors already signed in, and those who have been signed out that day.
The Symbol unit includes a mag stripe reader for scanning and inputting info from driver licenses, a barcode reader for signing people in and out, and the Zebra wireless printer for printing badges on the spot.
Visitor data is sent to the server online, or synched later from a PassagePoint client workstation, where visitor data can be reviewed and reports run.

Major Sports Venue Turns to PassagePoint for Mobile Solution to Manage Contractors in Outdoor Setting
When Major Sports Venues are being remodeled or major construction is occurring, they have a very unique set of requirements for visitor management. Contractors need to be monitored very closely to ensure theft doesn't occur and unauthorized and expired contractors need to be identified. The last thing the security team needs is for a contractor to steal something from the venue and next thing you know it's for sale on eBay. There are many entrances and exits to be controlled, most of which don't have computer access, and monitoring and tracking needs to be visible to security personnel at all times.
STOPware solved this problem for a customer with PassagePoint Global and the Symbol Handheld Mobile solution. Each contractor working at the venue needed to be enrolled in the PassagePoint system. The enrollment process verified them against watch lists and they received a permanent ID card with bar code and expiration date based on number of days planned for that particular contract worker. Each entrance and exit was manned with a Symbol Handheld wirelessly connected to the client server. Every contractor's ID badge was scanned upon arrival and exit of the venue. The Security office knew in real-time, which contractors were on site and who had not shown up yet. In addition to the security aspect of this project, this also helped manage the contractor workers accountability.
This was a convenient solution that met all of the client's needs and concerns. It allowed all exits and entrances to be protected, guarded against unauthorized and expired contractor access, and allowed security personnel real-time monitoring and tracking. STOPware was the only access control provider solution that could meet all of these requirements.
