Did you know that PassagePoint's Directory Link feature can filter disabled users in Active Directory using LDAP?

By default, Active Directory does not filter for disabled users.
To filter for disabled users in Active Directory, add the following
filter to the 'search filter' field.

(&(!(userAccountControl:1.2.840.113556.1.4.804:=2))(sn=*))

PassagePoint Globals' rich feature set allows one to precisely select the display order of the kiosk screen(s).

Step 1> In Configure System, open and edit the 'Sign-in Kiosk Profiles' under 'Policy Manager'
Step 2> Edit the kiosk profile
Step 3> Select the screens from the 'Available Kiosk Screens'
Step 4> Selected Screens in display order can be moved by the use of the 'up' and 'down' buttons

Finding the Best Solution to Control Visitors on Large Campuses
Traditional visitor management doesn't work in a large campus setting. Therefore, a recent STOPware customer came to us looking for the best way to control visitors on their open campus. They wanted to identify who was authorized to be on campus at all times. Unfortunately a standard wireless connection wasn't accessible across this expansive campus.

The solution was simple — We combined the Panasonic Toughbook® with Mobile Broadband and PassagePoint Global for a real-time, completely mobile visitor control solution.

Since visitors and students alike are roaming the campus, this customer deployed a security group on campus, armed with a Panasonic Toughbook Mobile Computer with Broadband, an integrated drivers license scanner, and a Bluetooth Mobile printer.

Each student ID has a bar code which security personnel can simply scan to do a real-time lookup to verify that students are active in the school directory. There is no manual entry required. When security personnel come across a visitor or person without a badge, they simply scan their drivers' license to capture their personal data which is automatically checked against watch lists. Once the visitor is cleared, a badge is printed on-the-spot and the visitor is tracked in the central system. All scanned information is automatically communicated in real-time. Therefore if an emergency occurs, the central monitoring location knows exactly who is on campus.
