STOPware Visitor Management Software Now Offered by Stanley Security Solutions.
Partnership Leverages Assets of Both Companies for Comprehensive Offering

San Jose, CA (December 12, 2006) – Feature rich products and a scalable platform has made STOPware, a Brady company, a leading choice for security systems integrators and access control manufacturers looking to add a visitor management solution to their system offering.
Among those companies who have recently selected STOPware as a business partner is Stanley Security Solutions, Inc., one of the country’s premier providers of access control and security solutions.
“Several manufacturers have embedded visitor management software in their access control systems, but none that we looked at are as comprehensive in features and functionality as STOPware’s PassagePoint software,” said J. Jay Vaitkus, global product and market Manager, Stanley Security Solutions, Inc. “Their product line is robust and it’s perfect for integration with our multi-element systems offerings, i.e. access control, video surveillance, elevator management, etc.”
PassagePoint’s open architecture and scalability can help streamline integration with existing systems, according to Vaitkus, even those with more than one brand of access control system. “One of our clients, through acquisitions, has ended up with two different brands of access control systems within their facilities. PassagePoint will work with both of them and when the time comes for this client to upgrade or consolidate, they won’t have to replace the visitor management system,” he said.

Developed for IT-centric system platforms, PassagePoint Enterprise v4.5 features increased speed and efficiency with the capability of operating across several servers with delivery verification and registration up to 30% faster than other systems in similar environments with scalable operation; integration with IT infrastructures to link to any ODBC or LDAP directory systems, as well as Oracle and SQL database servers. It also uses centralized management to allow remote installations, configurations and automatic updates of large deployments in multiple buildings with numerous servers and workstations; redundancy protection to assure continued operation even if other supporting programs fail and federal security links to stay current with links to Homeland Security and other government watch lists.
For organizations with hundreds or thousands of employees, the cost/benefit analysis of deploying PassagePoint Enterprise is very attractive. Vaitkus cites the example of a Fortune 500 Telecom provider. “We installed the PassagePoint software on a 90-day trial and they were so pleased with the results they have authorized installation at nine of their other facilities,” he said. “Previous tests with visitor management solutions embedded in access control systems were not successful because the software was client based and it was unmanageable.”

In addition to the PassagePoint Enterprise software, Stanley will also offer the PassagePoint Professional software. PassagePoint Professional v4.5 delivers the most comprehensive selection of visitor management features, including: a new watch list capability implemented via the software’s exclusive system notification feature, called SecureView™, to provide security personnel with instantaneous system status; security alerts and “watch lists” containing photos and information on individuals; Rapid Registration to allow quick and easy scanning of passports, driver’s licenses and business cards; and a Web Pre-Registration Module, now with Visitor-e-Pass, for easy search and posting of pre-registration lists. In addition, PassagePoint Professional v4.5 offers custom registrations to designate different lengths of visits and badges to accommodate contractors, temporary employees or out of town personnel; LDAP compatibility via an optional directory link add-on to support the latest LDAP protocols for integration with enterprise level systems; and a new Badge Design Wizard for custom badges with 2D bar codes, print preview and multiple label and printer compatibility.
Also available will be the recently introduced Visitor-e-Pass as an electronic solution to help speed visitors through the registration process. This is included in the Web Pre-Registration module to use with PassagePoint Professional or Enterprise editions.
