Universal PIV-Compliant Visitor Management Solution for All Federal Agencies

STOPware Launches PIV Credential Validation Module for PassagePoint Global

ORLANDO – and – San Jose, CA – September 19, 2011 – STOPware, the software pioneers of Visitor Management Identification and Tracking, today announced a new module for their flagship product, PassagePoint GLOBAL, to process visitors using PIV-compliant credentials that meet Homeland Security Presidential Directive 12 (HSPD-12).

“We are excited to provide this visitor management solution that will accommodate visitor ID and tracking for all divisions of our federal government,” states STOPware General Manager, Paul Terschuren. “Now any federal agency that has STOPware can use one PIV card to automatically gain cross-agency verification and authentication.”

This new PassagePoint module extracts cardholder data from any PIV, TWIC, FRAC or CAC card, validates the cardholder's PIN, and completes on-card biometrics matching. Digital certificates are verified using the issuer's certificate authority, SCVP, OCSP responder/repeater, or the TSA hot list (TWIC cardholders). All cards are validated using FIPS-201 challenge-response protocol in order to identify forged or cloned cards.

Once the validation of a cardholder is complete, the Federal Agency Smart Credential Number (FASC-N), photo, and pertinent cardholder information is automatically enrolled into PassagePoint Global v10 Visitor Management software.
